Overheat protection
The appliance has its own in-
tegrated temperature regulator
which protects the heating ele-
ment from overheating in case
you accidentally switch on the
appliance without water or if the
heating element has calcified.
If the temperature regulator of
the appliance has switched off,
you should allow the appliance
to cool off for 15–20 minutes and
decalcify it too before filling it with
cold water and switching it on.

1. Hold the water tank (11) by the
handle (5) and remove it from
the base (8).
2. With the lid closed (1), pour
the heated water through the
spout (12) and into your cho-
sen container.
– If you want to heat more
water, allow the appliance
to cool off for 30 seconds.
If you do not want to heat
more water, pull the mains
plug out of the socket.
Empty the appliance after
every use. Otherwise, the
appliance will calcify more
quickly, and the water or tea will
spoil if not used for an extended
period.
