Risks caused by hot liquids
and steam
Risk of scalding!
While using the kettle, hot
steam will come out which
can lead to scalding.
■
Avoid any contact with the
hot steam during the heat-
ing process, when refi lling
the water tank and when
the lid is open. Keep your
face away from it in par-
ticular.
■
Do not open the lid during
operation.
■
Allow the hot appliance to
cool for at least 5 minutes
prior to fi lling with cold water.
If the water tank is overfi lled
or the lid is open, hot water
can spurt out during boiling.
This can lead to scalding.
■
Do not fi ll the water tank
past the MAX mark.
■
Ensure that the lid is closed
during operation.
■
Leave the tea strainer in
the water tank during oper-
ation.
If the appliance falls down,
contact with hot water can
lead to scalding.
■
Do not allow the mains
cord to hang over the edge
of the worktop on which
the appliance is standing.
