If you want to switch off the start time
pre-selection early, press the but-
ton (8). The appliance will switch off.
Switch it back on and restart the desired
cycle.
Safety lock (child safety lock)
The safety lock allows you to secure the ap-
pliance against unwanted use of the buttons.
The safety lock can be activated only once a
cycle is already running.

• To activate the safety lock, simultaneous-
ly hold both “Extra rinse” (7) and “Pre-
wash” (10) buttons until the symbol
appears on the display.
The controls are thereby locked and each
time a button is pressed or the cycle selec-
tor is turned, 2 signal tones will sound.
• To deactivate the safety lock again, si-
multaneously hold both “Extra rinse” and
“Pre-wash” buttons until the symbol
disappears from the display again.
Signal tones
The appliance emits signal tones as standard,
e.g. when a button is pressed, when the cycle
selector is turned, when there is a fault mes-
sage or at the end of a cycle.

Draining
If you cancel a cycle while it is running, the
washing will sit in the soapy water or rinse
water.
1. If you wish to drain suds out of the appli-
ance, interrupt the cycle that is running by
pressing the button (8).
The washing machine will switch off.
2. Press the button (8) again to switch the
washing machine on again.
3. Select the cycle “Spin speed” with the
cycle selector (2) and do not set a spin
speed.
The suds will be drained away.
