Washing process
Before getting started
– Read chapter “Safety” from page EN-4.
– Prepare the appliance as described in
chapter “Set-up and connection” from
page EN-32.
– Ensure that the water inlet hose (b) and
water drain hose (14) have been properly
secured.

1. Load the laundry (see “Loading laundry”
on page EN-19).
2. Press the button (8) to switch the appli-
ance on.
3. Open the tap completely.
4. Select the desired cycle using the cycle
selector (2) (see “Selecting the cycle” on
page EN-18).
5. Press the button (9).
– The cycle starts as soon as the appliance
has determined the amount of laundry
(approx. 1 minute).
– The appliance door is locked, the display
shows the symbol .
– The remaining cycle time is displayed.
– The cycle sequence is displayed using
the symbols , , and .
– After the cycle starts, the settings can no
longer be changed. If you want to inter-
rupt or change a cycle, see “Additional
functions” on page EN-22.
Adding laundry
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the appliance can
lead to water damage.

Never open the appliance door when
the water level is high.
■
Never open the appliance door with
force.
You can interrupt the cycle during a wash cycle,
for example, to add laundry. You can only add
laundry if the water temperature and the water
level permit this (indicated by symbol ).
1. Press the button (9) for 3 seconds to
pause the current cycle and add laundry.
2. The cycle will pause, and the display will
show the symbol .
3. Depending on the cycle’s progress, the
appliance door will either be released with
a click or remain locked:
– If the appliance door is released, the
symbol will go out.
– The appliance door will remain closed if
the water level is too high. The appliance
will pump the suds out so that the appli-
ance door can be released.
4. Open the appliance door, add laundry and
then close the appliance door.
5. Press the button in order to continue
the cycle.
Please note that a long pause can affect
the wash result, as the suds will cool down.
