Set up and connection
Carry out a test run
Requirements
– You have read the “Safety” chapter from
page EN-4 and understand all the safety
instructions.
– The transportation packaging is removed
and the appliance is prepared as described
in chapter ‘Set up and connection’ on
page EN-23.
– The water inlet hose (b) and water outlet
hose (14) have been properly fixed.
Possible residual water or drops in the
appliance are merely a sign that it was
tested for functionality during production.
The appliance requires an initial wash cycle
without laundry, but with detergent. The aim
of this is to rinse out possible residues from
production.
1. Check whether the water inlet hose (a)
and water outlet hose (14) are securely
connected.
2. Open the valve completely.
3. Make sure that the drum is empty.
4. Push the loading door tightly closed.

5. If the partition (d) is located in the left
chamber II of the dispensing drawer (1),
take it out. Keep it safe as it is needed
when liquid detergent is used.
6. Dispense a maximum of 25 ml of compact
detergent into left chamber II.

7. Set the cycle selector (2) to the cycle
‘Cotton 60°C’.
The cycle duration will now be shown in
the display (3). The Start/Pause flashes.
8. Press the Start/Pause button (9).
The cycle starts; the Start/Pause symbol
stays on. The remaining cycle time is
shown on the display (3).
Once the cycle has finished, ‘End’ will be
shown in the display (3).
9. Turn the cycle selector (2) to Off, pull the
mains plug out of the socket, and close
the valve.
Start-up is now finished.
