The correct installation
location
– The appliance corresponds to the heat
protection category ‘Y’ (EC 335-2-6), i.e. it
may only be installed on one side next to
higher kitchen furniture, devices or walls.
– Do not install the appliance directly adja-
cent to fridges or freezers. The heat emit-
ted by the appliance will cause their energy
consumption to increase unnecessarily.
– Below the complete recess you must leave
at least 80 mm of free space for ventilation
purposes. In this area, there must not be
any heat-sensitive objects (cabinet bases,
drawers etc.). Any side walls or drawers
which are present must be sawn out or dis-
mantled accordingly. Space must remain
around the recess:
– to the left and right: at least 110 mm
– to the front and back: at least 50 mm
Preparing food
The following conditions must be fulfilled:
760 mm
50 mm
10 mm
30 mm
– The worktop must be at least 30 mm thick
and at least 590 mm deep, must be hori-
zontal and level and must be sealed on the
wall side against overflowing liquids.

Faulty electrical installation or excessive
mains voltage may result in an electric
shock.

The hob may only be connected by
authorised specialists such as our
Technical Service. This also applies to
disconnecting it from the mains and
dismantling the waste device. Unau-
thorised persons may not connect
the appliance to the network. You can
endanger your life and that of subse-
quent users!
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
If you use the glass ceramic hob in an
improper manner this could cause dam-
age of various kinds.

Never install the glass ceramic hob
over an oven without ventilation!
If air can not circulate suffi ciently
around the glass ceramic hob, it can
overheat and become damaged.

Do not use any sharp objects when
removing protective fi lms and adhe-
sive tapes.
Important user information
The glass ceramic hob is intended to be fitted
in a kitchen worktop or similar. If you have the
requisite skills, you can fit it yourself. Howev-
er, the electrical connection must be carried
out by authorised specialist staff.
