Safety notices
In this chapter you will find general safety in-
structions which you must always observe for
your own protection and that of third parties.
Please also observe the warning notices in
the individual chapters on operation, setup
etc.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Improper use, faulty electrical instal-
lation or excessive mains voltage may
result in an electric shock or short-circu-
iting.

Do not operate the appliance if it is
visibly damaged. If you fi nd transpor-
tation damage or other visible dam-
age please inform our After Sales
Support service immediately (see
"Our service" on page GB-29).

Connection to the mains supply may
only be made by an authorised elec-
trician who is approved by the local
energy supply company. Only then
will you benefi t from our warranty
and suffi cient security. Unauthorised
persons may not connect the appli-
ance to the network. You can endan-
ger your life and that of subsequent
users! This also applies to disconnec-
tion from the power supply and dis-
mantling the old appliance.

As the appliance can not be discon-
nected from the mains via an acces-
sible disconnecting device, an all-pole
disconnecting device in accordance
with overvoltage category III must
be connected within the house in-
stallation with at least 3 mm contact
5 minutes for your safety ...
Intended use
This appliance is intended for cooking
and frying foods. It is not suitable for
other purposes, e.g. for heating rooms.
Use the appliance exclusively as de-
scribed in this user manual. Any other
use will be deemed to be improper and
may lead to damage to property or
even injury to persons. The manufac-
turer accepts no liability for damage
caused by improper use.
The appliance is solely intended for use
in private households.

The following symbols can be found in
this user manual.
WARNING
This symbol indicates a hazard with a
medium level of risk which, if not avoid-
ed, could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
This symbol indicates a hazard with a
low level of risk which, if not avoided,
could result in minor or moderate injury.
NOTICE
This symbol warns against possible
damage to property.
Tips, additional information. This sym-
bol indicates that you will be provided
with useful additional information.
