Network connection – notes for the electrician
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Faulty electrical installation or excessive
mains voltage may result in an electric
shock.
■
The hob
may only be connected by
authorised specialist staff
, such as
our Technical Service (see page GB-29).
This also applies when disconnecting
from the power supply and disman-
tling the old appliance. Unauthorised
persons may not carry out the net-
work connection. You can endanger
yourself and subsequent users!
■
As the appliance can not be discon-
nected from the mains via an acces-
sible disconnecting device, an all-pole
disconnecting device in accordance
with overvoltage category III must
be connected within the house in-
stallation with at least 3 mm contact
clearance; this includes fuses, circuit
breakers and guards.
Connection conditions
• The hob is designed for alternating cur-
rent 220 – 240 V~ / 380 – 415 V 3N~ /
50 Hz.
• A separate power supply (fuse) is re-
quired.
• The hob may only be connected with the
pre-installed network connection of type
H05GG-F with a conductor cross-section
of at least 4 x 2.5 mm².
• When connecting the appliance, the VDE
requirements and the “Technical connec-
tion conditions” must be considered. Con-
tact protection must be guaranteed.
Connecting the power cord
1. Before accessing the terminals, switch
off all supply circuits and secure them
against being switched on again.
2. Make sure that the connection cables are
voltage-free on all poles.
3. Make sure that effective earthing is pos-
sible before connecting to the appropriate
terminal.

4. Connect the power cord to the cooker
outlet as shown in the wiring diagram.
5. Lay out the power cord in such a way that
it does not touch the housing of the hob,
as it can get very hot during operation.
