Cleaning the appliance
• Treat the appliance with a special care
product after cleaning.
Something has boiled over on the
sensors
1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Wipe up the material that has boiled over
using a soft rag.
3. Wipe the sensor surface with a damp
cloth and then dry completely with a pa-
per towel.
4. Switch the appliance back on.
If the sensors are dirty, for example be-
cause something has boiled over, the
appliance may turn itself off. You will
hear a signal tone. If the sensors are dirty or
damp, they may not work.

Sugary or starchy food waste,
plastics or aluminium foil
NOTICE

Sugary or starchy food residues, as well
as plastics or aluminium foil residue,
can cause permanent and irreparable
damage to the appliance.

If this happens, remove the dirt from
the still-hot glass ceramic with a
sharp, commercially available scrap-
er. While doing so, protect hands from
burns with oven gloves or pot holders.
• Remove such contaminants from the hot
glass ceramic immediately using a stand-
ard sharp scraper. While doing so protect
hands from burns with oven gloves or pot
holders.
• Once the appliance has cooled down,
you can remove stubborn dirt by using a
specially made, commercially available
detergent.
