ance with the most recently selected heat set-

Cooking areas
It is advisable to use the cooking area if you
want to use large pots or roasting pans.
Please observe the correct positioning of the
cookware:
• Always place the cookware in the middle
of the cooking area.
• For oval or rectangular roasting pans,
ensure that they cover the centre of the
cooking area.
• The cookware should cover at least ¾
of the cooking area. It is not advisable to
place a round pot in the centre of a cook-
ing area.

1. Touch one of the sensors (10) or (18) for
the cooking areas.
2. Set the desired heat output using the slid-
er sensor (14).
Boost function
When the boost function is active, the cook-
ing area heats up at maximum power for 5
minutes. After this time, the cooking area re-
turns to the original heat setting. If the original
heat setting was “
0
”, the cooking zone/area
heats up to heat setting “
9
”.
The boost function is advisable e.g. for rap-
id searing or boiling water. It is also suitable
for fast boiling and continued cooking at a
reduced temperature. First select a medium
heat setting (e.g. “
5
”) and then activate the
boost function.
The boost function is available for all cooking
zones/areas.
1. Touch the sensor of the cooking zone/
area for which you would like to activate
the boost function.
The heat setting display of the cooking
zone/area will start flashing.

2. Touch the boost sensor (15).

” now appears in the heat setting display.
3. If you would like to deactivate the boost
function early, touch the sensor of the
cooking area for which you would like to
deactivate the boost function.
4. Touch the boost sensor.
The “

” will stop illuminating on the heat
setting display and the original heat setting
will be shown again.
Pause function
You can use the pause function to interrupt
the heating process on all cooking areas.
When the pause function is activated, all sen-
sors except the pause sensor and the On/
Off sensor are locked and display the “*” in-
dicators.
