CONFIGURATION #1
Configuration #1 – DOMESTIC WATER HEATING (DHW) – model prefix HWD
STAND ALONE WATER HEATER
• If an external temperature sensor (10k ohm thermistor) is connected to terminals 1 & 2 (or 3 & 4, 28 & 29
depending on model), the heater will be automatically controlled by this sensor.
• If an external temperature sensor is not connected to terminals 1 & 2 (or 3 & 4, 28 & 29 depending on model),
the heater will be controlled by its own inlet (return) temperature sensor.
If there is no external sensor
connected, the water heater pump P3 must be running constantly.
In this configuration the following can be done:
1. Adjust the heater minimum and maximum temperature setting via the red wheel located on the display
panel, within the range of 50 – 159°F
(Parameter 2 EA, 2 EB)
2. An external on-off tank thermostat instead of the 10k ohm thermistor can be connected to terminals 5 & 6
(or 13 & 14, 57 & 58 depending on model).
If a standard tank thermostat is used, there will be no modulation.
In this configuration the following
cannot
be done:
1. Three way valves cannot be utilized.
2. A second pump cannot be controlled.
