CONFIGURATION #4

Configuration #4 – CASCADE BOILERS (NO DOMESTIC HOT WATER)

• In this configuration an external sensor MUST be connected to terminals 1 & 2 (or 3 & 4, 28 & 29 depending

  on model) on the

LEAD BOILER ONLY

and be positioned to sense common loop temperature (after/at low

  loss header).

• A room thermostat is to be connected to terminals 5 & 6 (or 13 & 14, 57 & 58 depending on model) of the

LEAD BOILER ONLY

. If no yellow jumper wire is attached to terminals 5 & 6 (or 13 & 14, 57 & 58 depending

on model), which will be removed to connect room thermostat, additional wiring is required. Consult factory.

In this configuration the following can be done:

   1. Adjust the boiler minimum and maximum temperature setting via the potentiometer, within the range of

       50 - 192°F

(Parameter 2 EB, 2 EA)

   2. Pump P3 can be controlled based on the Room Thermostat, must add heating harness WRE74090 and

       wire to P3 leads.

Caution: maximum available wattage for external load on the FMT 914 control

board is 550 watts. If pumps P1 & P3 total less, they both can be powered directly off the board. If

not, a relay (240v coil) must be used for pump P3.

It is important to set the red potentiometer wheel to the desired setpoint on the Lag boilers with the power off to

the Lead boiler. This way, in the event of a control or power failure to the Lead boiler, the Lag boilers will

operate at the desired temperature.
