Main Dish Waffle Recipes
NOTE:
We suggest making whole waffles for these recipes.
Quick & Easy Chili ’n Cornbread
1 pound lean ground beef
1.5 ounce envelope chili seasoning mix
8 ounce can tomato sauce
In a skillet, brown ground beef. Add chili seasoning, tomato sauce, kidney beans,
and water. Stir to mix then simmer 15 minutes. Serve over Cornbread Waffles.
Makes 4 servings.
Open-Face Hot Turkey Sandwiches
8 to 12 slices cooked turkey
(enough for 4 servings)
3 to 4 cups mashed potatoes,
hot (homemade or instant)
Place waffles on serving plates. Top with turkey slices, mashed potatoes and
gravy. Serve immediately.
Makes 4 servings.

Cornbread Waffles
15 ounce can turkey gravy, heated
Basic Waffles

Weekend Waffles
10 ounce package frozen
chopped broccoli, thawed
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
Best Buttermilk Waffles
1 teaspoon vanilla

cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
Chicken Cheddar à la King
10 ounce can condensed
cheddar cheese soup

cup milk
Combine soup and milk in a saucepan. Stir to mix then stir in broccoli. Cook over
medium heat until smooth and heated through. Add chicken and heat through.
Serve over Best Buttermilk Waffles.
Makes 4 servings

Waffles with Sausage Gravy
1 pound pork sausage
3 tablespoons flour
In a skillet, crumble and cook sausage over medium heat. Do not drain off the fat,
if less than 2 tablespoons. When sausage is fully cooked, sprinkle flour evenly
over the sausage. Stir to mix and cook about 1 minute. Slowly stir in milk. Cook
and stir until sauce thickens. Serve over Applesauce Waffles.
Makes 3 servings.
Vanilla Waffles

cup butter, melted
1 egg

Combine ingredients in the order listed. Mix until just blended. Spray grids with cook-
ing spray. Pour batter onto waffle baker. Remove ans serve topped with fruit.
