Current-Fuse
The FUSE (F)
(13)
key is used to set and delete all
channel fuses. Current-Fuses are selected in the
SELECT mode. If one channel fuse is selected and
the applied load is reaching the pre-selected current-
limit, the channel is switched-off.
Extended Features of the Current Fuse (8)
Remarks on identification numbers in the lower display
If one channel with a pre-selected current-fuse is
reaching its current-limit, all channels with the same
identification number are switched-off. This feature is
especially dedicated to high-security work-bench
applications.
Set-Example
Set all four lower displays to: 1,1,1,4. All channels are
selected and the first three channels are merged.
Now set the current-fuse of channel I and channel II in
active state. Short-circuit channel III (connection to
ground). Channel III switches from voltage regulation
into current regulation. No feedback is seen on the
other channels.
Short-circuit channel I. All three merged channels (1-
3) are switched-off. No feedback is seen on channel
IV.

controlled via the RS232 interface. You can use any
standard terminal program like the TERM95 program.
The transmitted data are:
9600 baud, 1 start bit, 1 stop bit, no parity, data length
8 bit, line termination with RETURN.
Wait for the return answer of the instrument, before
you are sending the next data string !
Each answer of the HM 7044 is terminated with
RETURN.
On Error a „!“ sign including the data string.
