STORAGE
■
Annual checking and tightening of fasteners and
fittings are recommended before storage.
■
Store your HALO Elite 4B Outdoor Griddle in a
cool, dry place.
■
We recommend covering the burners with
aluminum foil in order to prevent insects or other
debris from collecting in the burner ports.
■
If storing your HALO Elite 4B Outdoor Griddle
indoors, the gas cylinder must be disconnected
and left outside.
■
The gas cylinder should always be stored outside
and in a dry, well-ventilated area and out of reach
of children.
FIRST TIME CLEANING
THE
GRIDDLE SURFACE
HALO griddles are pre-treated with cooking oil to
prevent rust and damage during shipping. For first time
use, wash griddle with hot, soapy water between uses
and especially after extended periods of storage.
THIS IS THE ONLY TIME YOU SHOULD USE SOAP ON THE
GRIDDLE COOKING SURFACE.
Rinse and dry completely.
Proceed with seasoning instructions. (Please reference
the Griddle Seasoning Instructions section on page 23.)
CLEAN
+
MAINTAIN YOUR
GRIDDLE
STEP 1
To clean the griddle after each use, cool griddle below
300° F, scrape gently with a metal spatula or scraper.
STEP 2
Wipe down the griddle surface with a cloth or paper
towel. Pour water onto the hot griddle surface for tough
food residue and let it boil the residue off.
STEP 3
You should apply a very thin coat of oil to maintain your
seasoning bond and protect it from rust after you are
done using your griddle.
STEP 4
If rust or scaling, rub it off with steel wool and re-season
the surface.
