8. MAIN UNITS AND FUNCTIONS
Your appliance is equipped with an intelligent, self-learning temperature
control, which automatically starts up, when the appliance is put in
operation.
8.1.
The limiter
The limiter is located in a common housing with the regulator, and they form asin
-
gle unit. If the regulator function fails, the limiter protects the hot water tankfrom
harmful overheating by breaking the heating circuit. The reactivation of the limiter
must be performed by a qualified professional (from the contracted service sta
-
tion, during the warranty period) after troubleshooting the cause of overheating.
8.2.
The regulator
The first week of usage constitutes the learning phase for the appliance. Then
the tank, depending on water withdrawal habits experienced so far, automatical
-
ly adjusts the temperature of water in the temperature range of your choice (see
8.3). During standby periods, the electronic control of the appliance tries to main
-
tain water temperature at the lower end of the preset temp. range. Therefore,
the solution brings you direct energy saving, as the tank consumes less electricity
during standby periods than water heaters with a fixed temperature setting. The
temperature of the water in contact with the tank may not exceed 80 °C.
8.3.
Functioning of the thermostat
The temperature of the water in the hot water tank can be regulated from the
outside by means of a rotary knob. You can set the regulator to minimum posi
-
tion by turning the knob counterclockwise until it stops. If you turn the knobclock
-
wise, you can increase the desired temperature according to the symbols.
„
T
” symbol: approx. 7 °C (Frost protection,
see 8.3.1)
„—” symbol: 45–60 °C
„•” symbol: 45–65 °C
(First recommended
setting, see 8.3.2.)
„+” symbol: 50–70 °C
„++” symbol: 55–75 °C
„
I
” symbol: 60–75 °C
(Continuous, manual
mode, see 8.3.3)
8.3.1. „
T
” symbol: frost protection
You can set the regulator to zero by turning the knob counterclockwise until
it stops („
T
” symbol). In this mode, you can ensure the frost protection of the
appliance (except when the unit is taken out of use or a power failure occurs).
Frost protection does not apply to the water supply network and assemblies. In
frost protection mode, the water temperature may not fall under app. 7 °C, while
energy consumption remains minimal
