USING THE FEATURES
Teletext functions
T e l ete x t is an information system, broadcast by certain
channe l s, w hich can be read l ike a ne w spaper. I t a l so
pro v ides subtit l es for peop l e w ith hearing difficu l ties or
those w ho are unfami l iar w ith the l anguage in w hich a
particu l ar program is being broadcast ( cab l e net w orks,
sate ll ite channe l s, etc. ) .

Teletext functions V
T o se l ect “ te l ete x t ” press the button on the
handset. T o s w itch o ff te l ete x t, press the button again.
“N ote a ll menu functions are not a v ai l ab l e in te l ete x t
mode ” . O n l y a fe w direct button contro l functions are
a v ai l ab l e in te l ete x t mode, they are :

Page up/down V
U se the P +/ P - buttons to bro w se ne x t or pre v ious
page.
Page number entering V
T o se l ect a T e l ete x t page, enter the page number
using the numeric key pad on the remote contro l ,
or use the P + or P - buttons, or the co l oured F ast te x t
buttons.
Mix mode V
T o v ie w the TV picture w hi l e in T e x t mode press the
button, this w i ll superimpose the T e l ete x t data on top
of the TV picture. Press this button again to return to
F u ll te x t.
INDEX
V
Press the INDEX button to go to the inde x page of
te l ete x t.
Language change
V
Pressing the button w i ll change the T e l ete x t
characters bet w een E astern and W estern.
Hold V
Pressing the button w i ll stop the te l ete x t page
automatica ll y updating. T his feature is v ery usefu l
w here there are se v era l te l ete x t pages or data on the
same page number.
Size V
Pressing the button changes bet w een fu ll screen
top ha l f bottom ha l f fu ll screen. T his feature is
v ery usefu l as it magnifies the image making the
characters easier to read.
Reveal
V
Pressing the button w i ll re v ea l hidden te x t. T his
feature is used to re v ea l information such as ans w ers
to T e l ete x t on -l ine interacti v e pu zzl es.
