SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, the following basic safety
precautions should always be taken.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
• Keep the appliance and its mains cord out of the reach of children
younger than 8 when the appliance is switched on or is cooling
down.
• While the water is boiling, or just after the water has been boiled,
avoid contacting with steam from the spout.
• Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without
tipping the kettle too fast.
• Before you connect the kettle to the mains supply, make sure that
the voltage indicated on the rating plate, located on the bottom of
the jug kettle matches the mains voltage in your home. If it does
not, contact your dealer and do not use the kettle.
• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or
any part of the kettle in water or other liquid.
• Before switching the kettle on, ensure the water level is between
the Min and Max lines and that the lid is completely closed.
• If the kettle boils dry, allow 15 minutes to cool before refilling with
cold water. The safety cut out will automatically reset during this
time.
• The kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled.
You may switch the kettle off before the boiling process is complete
by using the on/off switch.
