AUTOMATIC SAFETY CUT OFF

An automatic safety cut off is fitted to the kettle for your protection.

This is to protect against dry boiling. It will operate if the kettle is

switched ON when there is insufficient water inside the kettle. If this

should occur, switch the kettle OFF and removed the power cord from

the power outlet. Allow cooling for 10minutes then refill with cold

water before plugging back in to the power outlet.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and leave

it to cool down completely before cleaning.  Clean the exterior of

the product by wiping with a slightly dampened (not wet) soft cloth.

Remove stubborn spots with a cloth moistened (not wet) with a soapy

water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid the use of scouring pads,

harsh detergents, solvents, polish abrasive or aerosol cleaners as they

may damage the surface of the product.  Dry with a clean, soft cloth

before storage, or reconnecting to the power.

DESCALING

Regularly removing deposits of lime scale from inside the kettle

will prolong your kettle’s life, ensuring maximum performance

and energy savings. The kettle can be descaled using commonly

available descaling products. In this case, leave the product to act,

then rinse thoroughly.

Then boil at least two full kettles of water, disposing of the boiling

water safely, to remove any residue of the product before use.
