Out and About with the Tractor
Game for 1 to 3 children aged 2+
Educational topics:

Preparation
Puzzle together the pathway with the 6 pieces. The starting square is the one surrounded by a fence. On the target square there is a blue bird
and a broken egg. You can choose the order of the puzzle pieces in between.
Now place the tractor with its trailer on the target square showing the broken egg. Farmer Tim, the sheep and the pig are placed on the starting
square with the fence. Get the die ready. The remaining wooden figures are not needed for now.
How to Play
Play in a clockwise direction. Whoever can make a noise the most like a tractor starts and rolls the die.
What appears on the die? Farmer Tim, the pig or the sheep? Move the corresponding figure forward one puzzle piece.
Then it’s the turn of the next child to roll the die.
As soon as a figure reaches the last puzzle piece with the tractor, it is placed in the trailer.
The player whose turn it is may drive the tractor round once and then places the wooden figure back on the starting square.
Then this player drives the tractor back to the target square.
End of the Game
The game ends soon as the three wooden figures have all been taken for at least one ride in the tractor.
Variation #1
The rules of the basic game apply taking into account the following changes:
• At the beginning, each player chooses one figure.
• Has a figure reached the tractor on the last puzzle piece? The child whose figure this is may place the figure into the trailer of the tractor and
drive around once. Then the player returns the wooden figure to the starting square and drives the tractor back to the target square.
• If the figure belongs to no one the player who moved it to the target piece may drive the tractor.
• The game ends as soon as each player has driven his figure around once.
Variation #2 ( = competitive variation)
The rules of the basic game apply taking into account the following changes:
• At the beginning each player chooses a figure. The players now only move their own figure, when the corresponding symbol appears on the die.
• Whoever reaches the tractor first may put his figure into the trailer and drive around once.
