If the

, verify that the transceiver modules and fibers
or DAC cables used for IRF connection are operating correctly.
NOTE:
The switch might support different transceiver modules or DAC cables depending on the
software version and interface module model. For more information, see the latest installation
guide and the configuration guides of the H3C S12500G-AF switch series for the software
version in use.
7.
Verify that the member chassis is running the same software version as the IRF fabric:
a.
Execute the
display version
command to identify the software version.
b.
Upgrade the MPUs in the chassis to use the same software version as the IRF fabric.
NOTE:
Typically, the
irf auto-update enable
command can automatically synchronize a member
chassis with the software version of the master chassis. However, the synchronization might fail
when the gap between the software versions is large.
8.
Verify that the chassis has the same settings as other IRF member chassis for features that
require configuration consistency across the IRF fabric.
For example, all member chassis must have the same settings for the
ecmp mode enhanced
command to join the same IRF fabric.
Features that require fabric-wide configuration consistency vary by software version. For more
information about these features, see

for the software version.

Verify that the chassis has a unique bridge MAC address:
a.
Execute the
display interface vlan-interface 1
command, and then check the
Hardware Address
field.

If the chassis has the same bridge MAC address as the IRF fabric, remove the bridge MAC
conflict.
