Please read all instructions before using the helmet for the fi rst time. Incorrect use may reduce the level
of protection provided when using this helmet. Neither Guardio nor its retailers/distributors accept any
responsibility in the event the incorrect use of the helmet results in accidents or personal injury. This helmet
has been specially developed for use in industry and is certifi ed in accordance with the European standard
EN397:2012 and meets the legal requirements set out in sections §5.2.1 Very low temperatures (– 30 °C) and
§5.2.4 Lateral deformation.
The helmet is approved in accordance with the EC certifi cation procedure carried out by CCSS Certifi cation
Services, Block 1, Blanchardstown Corporate Park, Bollycoolin R., Blanchardsstown, Dublin 15, Ireland D15 AKK1
with notifi ed body number 2834.
This helmet is designed to absorb the energy of an impact through partial distribution or damage to essential
components. This helmet should only be used to the activity it is certifi ed for (see marking).
WARNING:
Despite the use of MIPS, this helmet cannot always protect the user against injury as no helmet can protect
your head completely from the effects of severe impacts. A helmet subject to a severe impact should always
be replaced in order to maintain its protective capability.

HELMET ADJUSTMENT:
To achieve optimal protection, it is important that the helmet is correctly positioned when working. You should
ensure that the helmet is adjusted to the correct size and that it fi ts the head properly in order to achieve
adequate protection and to provide optimal safety and comfort (see Figure 1). Put the helmet on and adjust
the size by rotating the knob clockwise to tighten and counter-clockwise to loosen (see Figure 3). You can
also adjust the side buckles and chin straps to ensure it fi ts correctly. Insert one side of the buckle into the
other until you hear the locking mechanism click shut (see Figure 2a). Open the tensioning strap by pressing
on both buckle release buttons (see Figure 2b).
SPARE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES:
Adjustment, modifi cation and/or adaptation of the helmets original parts may only be carried out by an
authorized workshop or with the consent of Guardio Safety AB. Use only original Guardio spare parts and
accessories. The helmet should not be modifi ed to fi t accessories other than those provided by Guardio
Safety AB. Contact your retailer or visit www.guardiosafety.com for a list of available accessories. Always follow
the instructions for installing and using the purchased accessory.
BEFORE USE:
Always inspect your helmet before use. After a violent blow to the helmet, the helmet should always be replaced
even if there is no visible damage. In the event of a violent blow, the helmet’s ability to absorb further blows
may be signifi cantly impaired, compromising the expected level of protection. These instructions make refer-
ence to the rules and directives laid down in the CE Directive for Personal Protective Equipment, Class II,
and implement the requirements laid down in annexes V and VI to EU Regulation 2016/425.
CLEANING:
To extend the life of your helmet, you should keep the helmet clean. When cleaning the helmet and its
accessories, use only water neutral pH soap and a clean cloth and disinfect using commercially available
mild disinfectants.
Chemical cleaning agents or solvents should not be used under any circumstances as they affect the
helmet’s properties and the level of protection. Allow the helmet to dry at room temperature and/or use a
dry cloth. Do not use excessive heat to expedite the drying process.
STORAGE:
When not in use, the helmet should be stored at a temperature between 5 °C and 35 °C. Direct sunlight
and intense sources of heat can affect the helmet’s UV layer and should be avoided. For optimal protection,
the helmet should be stored in Guardio’s helmet storage bag when not in use or during transportation.
PRECAUTIONS:
Never apply stickers, glue, paint or solvents to the helmet if not in compliance with Guardio’s instructions.
These substances/media may compromise the protective function of the helmet Avoid dropping the helmet as
this may compromise the protective function of the helmet. Do not expose the helmet to excessive pressure
or carry the helmet by the size adjuster. Protect the helmet against chemical agents and do not use outside
the temperature range – 30 °C and + 50 °C.
The helmet’s useful life can vary based on several different factors which can impact the helmet’s protective
capability and useful life. Examples of this include sudden changes in temperature, exposure to sunlight
and the intensity with which the helmet is used. Always inspect the helmet before use. Make sure all parts are
fi rmly attached and that the helmet has no signifi cant changes in color as this is a sign that the helmet
should be replaced. Never use a helmet which is more than 10 years old. The date of manufacture can be found
on the inside of the helmet. We recommend you to replace your helmet after 3 years of use.
