10. Taking the solution out of operation

Before dismantling the solution, isolate and drain the
district heating water from it.

Disconnect the power supply before starting any elec-
trical work or in the event of the solution being flooded.
Lock the door to the supply disconnecting device to
avoid unintentional reconnection.

Make sure that everything is disconnected and that
the solution is free.

Check the lifting eyes and the solution for visible dam-
age.

Make sure that the lifting equipment is appropriate for
lifting the load before lifting the solution. See the
weight on the nameplate.
10.1 Removing the solution from the site
To remove the solution from the site, do the following:
1. Close the main supply valves.
2. Drain the system of district heating water.
3. Disconnect the power from the distribution supply board.
4. Disconnect and remove the supply pipes to the solution.
5. Disconnect the solution from the district heating pipes.
6. Lift the solution from the site.
7. Make sure that all open pipes are sealed.
11. Disposing of the solution
This solution or parts of it must be disposed of in an
environmentally sound way.
1. Use the public or private waste collection service.
2. If this is not possible, contact the nearest Grundfos company or
service workshop.
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on a product
means that it must be disposed of separately from
household waste. When a product marked with this
symbol reaches its end of life, take it to a collection
point designated by the local waste disposal authori-
ties. The separate collection and recycling of such
products will help protect the environment and human
health.
