Operation
1.
First regulate the fl uid fl ow regulation knob. Turning it counter-clockwise increases the fl uid
stream, and turning it clockwise – decreases the fl uid stream. A good starting point for the
regulation is approx. 2.5 a turn from the position of complete closing.
2.
Check the spray pattern and atomization on a sample surface fragment. Hold the device ap-
prox. 20cm (8 inches) away from the surface. Keep turning the pattern regulation knob until
you achieve the desired pattern.
3.
Using the pace regulation knob, select the appropriate air capacity. Generally, preferably use the
minimum air capacity which provides satisfying atomization. The objective is to obtain as small
drop size as possible, simultaneously maintaining the desired surface cover. An excessive amount
of air will cause formation of haze from excessive spraying and waste of paint. If the pace reg-
ulation knob is maximally open, and atomization is insuffi
cient, you can also obtain the desired
eff ect by thinning the paint. You can also use a diff erent set for fl uid (needle, nozzle and hood).
Selecting the set for fl uid:
The set for fl uid contains a needle, a nozzle and a hood. These matching parts constitute a set. Do not
mix parts with diff erent sizes. The size of the standard set for fl uid which is attached to the gun is 1.3mm
and it should be suffi
cient for the majority of applications.
Other sizes of the set for fl uid will result in other fl ow paces. More viscous fl uid requires a larger set.
Thinner fl uid requires a smaller size.
