Removing Jammed
V-Nail
V-nails may become jammed in the channel,
requiring removal of the V-nail block (see
Figure
29). The driver, which presses the V-nail into the
workpiece, can also become jammed in the V-nail
block due to adhesive build up on sliding surface.
Keep the work area and components clean to
prevent this.

1. Remove remaining V-nails from channel.
2. Loosen hex bolt securing V-nail block (see
Figure 18), and remove V-nail block.
Note: V-nail block may be stuck in place due
to adhesive build up. Gently tap underside of
V-nail block with a length of dowel and ham-
mer to loosen.
3. Clear jammed V-nail, clean all components
with solvent, and re-install V-nail block.
Retighten hex bolt to secure V-nail block.

3. Insert front clamp onto spring assembly pin
in a position where the front clamp jaws are
within 3–9mm (

16), and release front clamp foot
pedal. Front clamp will close against inside
edge of workpiece.
4. Check miter fit, and adjust as needed.

Removing Jammed V-Nails
Adjusting Front Clamp
1. Slide fence in or out based on workpiece
width and desired V-nail placement. When
fence is positioned correctly, tighten fence
lock handle (see
Figure 1 on Page 4) to
secure setting.
Note: Placing one mitered piece against the
fence while positioning it can help you visu-
ally verify V-nail placement.
2. Place both workpieces against fence (see
Figure 17), and press down on front clamp
foot pedal. This will move spring assem-
bly pin into a favorable position for proper
front clamp installation during next step (see
Figure 16).
