Common pan and box brake components.
Familiarize yourself with each item and its location. These items will be referred to throughout the manual
and knowing about them will help you use your new brake correctly and safely.
ITEMS
1. Bending Leaf —Component that swivels up to bend the workpiece.
2. Clamping Leaf
—Holds the finger blocks. Squeezes the workpiece against the clamp block.
3. Counterweight —Adjustable weights used to aid the operator during bending.
4. Finger Blocks
—Adjustable dies that the workpiece is bent against.
5. Clamping Handles —Raises, lowers, and locks the clamping leaf.
6. Operating Handles
—Used to raise and lower the bending leaf.
7. Bending Wing —Angled bar attachment on bending leaf that folds the workpiece during bending.
8. Clamp Block
—Fixed block (or lower jaw) that the clamping leaf presses against.
