Insufficient makeup air in boiler
room.
Call your dealer/installer for
service. Refer to the Chimney
section in this manual.
Induction fan failure.
Check the control panel. If the fan
has failed it will show "Error:
A,B,C,E." Call your dealer.
Induction fan blocked or weak.
Inspect and confirm fan is turning.
If your fan no longer turns up to a
high speed when the "Smoke
Guard" button is engaged, call
your dealer.
Furnace is Over-heating
Boiler or distribution pumps not
working.
Confirm all pumps in your
application are operational. Call
your dealer/installer to fix or
replace any pumps that are not
working.
On-Demand Zones insufficient or
not implemented.
Confirm that adequate thermal
spike protection is available in
your On-Demand Zones.
Air intake dampers not fully
closing.
Inspect the air intake lids fully
close when solenoids powered off.
Inspect and remove any debris
that may prevent the lids from
closing completely flat.
Improper fuel.
Check the fuel wood you are
burning. Do not burn scrap wood,
pallets, pellets, treated wood, kiln-
dried wood, or any fuel other than
solid, non-treated wood.
Door gasket not fully sealing when
door is closed.
Fully engage the handle in the
down position when door is
closed. Visually inspect to confirm
the door rope gasket is
compressed all the way around
the door when door is closed. If it
is not, contact your dealer for
replacement.
Low fluid level.
Check the fluid levels. Over-
heating may cause fluid to
evaporate. If needed, refill with a
mix of boiler treatment, propylene
glycol (if utilized) and water.
Furnace is Smoking

Sustained, low heat demand.
If you have low demand, reduce
the amount of fuel on re-loads.
During periods of low demand
(late spring and early fall) reduce
the amount of wood placed in the
load chamber. During these low
demand periods a full firebox
provides reduced performance.
