5. Install the retaining pins on the sprocket. Store
and pin the removed sprockets onto the storage
towers.
6. Reroute the chain and allow S tensioner to
tighten chain.
Transmission Sprockets (S/N )
1. Select the transmission sprockets for your seed
and rate from the Material Rate manual.
2.
Rotate the chain S tensioner (2) and remove the
drive chain.
3. Remove the retaining pins from DRIVING (1) or
DRIVEN (3) sprockets, and at the storage towers.
4. Exchange sprockets so the new DRIVING and
DRIVEN sprocket tooth counts match the seed
rate chart.
5. Install the retaining pins on the sprockets. Store
and pin the removed sprockets onto the storage
towers.
Spike Wheel, Raised Position
Setting the Spike Wheel in raised position
requires two people, and the planter to be in the
raised position.
1. Lift slightly on the spike wheel. Pull the pin (1).
2.
Lift spike wheel up and pin in secondary location
(2).
The spike wheel in the raised position is used to
prevent the spike wheel from applying product
when planting. This raised position can also be
used for maintenance.
Dry Fertilizer Coulters
Level the coulters and adjust coulter depth with the
adjuster (1). Loosen the jam nut (2) and turn the
turnbuckle (3) as necessary to achieve the desired
results. Tighten the jam nut.
Adjust the spring tension of the coulter by removing
the pin (4). Rotate the coulter opener and pin at the
desired tension.
