Seed-Lok™ Seed Firmer Lock-Up

Optional Seed-Lok firming wheels provide additional

seed-to-soil contact. The wheels are spring loaded and

do not require adjusting. In some wet and sticky

conditions the wheels may accumulate soil. To avoid

problems associated with this, you can lock-up the

firmers.

Refer to Figure 65

To lock up Seed-Lock wheels:
1. Pull up on Seed-Lok arm  .
2. Raise lever  .

Opener Depth (Press Wheel Height)

Refer to Figure 66

Set opener seeding depth   by adjusting press-wheel
height .
To adjust, first raise openers slightly, then lift and slide T
handles   on top of openers Adjust all press wheels to

the same height.

Each increment of the handle adjusts the seeding
depth by approximately

1

4

in (6.3mm). The range is

approximately 0 to 3

1

2

in (0-8.9cm) seeding depth.

For more shallow seeding, slide T handles forward

 toward implement.

For deeper seeding, slide T handles backward
away from implement.

If press wheels are lifting off ground, increase hydraulic

down pressure.
If press wheels are digging into ground, reduce hydraulic

down pressure.
