Press the
key and the
key straight after.
The tool holder stops above the material to be engraved exactly where the engraving should start.

Set the spindle pressure with the knob
(the tightening direction is indicated by the arrow in
diagram 28).
To engrave without a nose, the pressure knob
must be completely loosened so that the spindle is rigid.
To engrave with a nose, the setting depends on the hardness of the material, on the cutter width and on the surface state
of the plate selected (if the nose is likely to scratch the object, reduce the pressure).
10. Set the regulating nose
in place on the spindle and tighten the nose nut.
11. Unscrew the index finger
then unscrew the scaled knob
(diagram 29).
Line up the 0 of the scaled knob with the index finger
. The scaled knob should be unscrewed
in such a way that the index finger blocks it.
