The Frebox Assembly wll set on top of two concrete block
columns. One ” x ” x ” and one ” x ” x ” concrete
block s used to form each column. These columns are set ”
to the rght and ” to the left of the Base Center Lne, wth
the front face of the block on the Base Front Lne as shown n
figure 14 - Base Column Flue Goo
. Use a small amount of the
Flue Goo that was ncluded n your Kva Freplace Kt on the
floor and between the concrete block. Care should be taken
that these blocks are plumb, level, and the same heght as
shown n

. Make sure they
are exactly algned to and on the Base Front Lne. Ths s an
mportant step because the top edge of the concrete block
columns wll be used to locate the Frebox Base that wll be
placed on top of them.

Measure across the front of the Frebox Base and mark a
Front Center Lne at ts center as shown n

Spread a thn coat of Flue Goo on top of the Base Columns.
Set the Frebox Base secton on the Base Columns and algn
and center the front edge of the Frebox Base wth the front
edge and center of the Base Columns. Check to see that the
clearance between the sdes and back edge of the Frebox
Base and the walls are a mnmum of 2” and that the Frebox
Base s level.

Temporarly place the Frebox Mddle on top of the Frebox
Base. Draw a Frebox Curve Lne on the Frebox Base usng
the nteror bottom edge of the Frebox Mddle as shown n
figure 17 - Firebox Middle

Remove the Frebox Mddle secton and spread a thn coat
of Flue Goo on the Frebox Base stayng about ” behnd the
Frebox Curve Lne as shown n

Reset the Frebox Mddle, press nto poston, and algn
wth the back and sdes of the Frebox Base.

NOTE: Use caution to insure proper positioning when installing the
Base Column, because the top edge of the concrete block columns
will be used to locate the Firebox Base that will be placed on top of
them.
