Spread a thn coat of Flue Goo on the top of the Frebox
Mddle. Place the Frebox Top onto the Frebox Mddle, press
nto poston, and algn wth the back and sdes of the Frebox
Mddle as shown n

Spread a thn coat of Flue Goo on the outsde edge, or seam,
to seal the Frebox Base, Frebox Mddle and Frebox Top
together where they connect as shown n

Center the Damper over the openng on the Frebox Top wth
the damper handle extendng down through the openng
and the loop n the Damper handle facng forward. Use a ¼”
masonry bt to drll four holes nto the concrete of the Frebox
Top usng the four holes n the Damper plate as a gude (see
figure 20 - Damper Installation
). After drllng the holes remove
the Damper and clear away any dust and debrs from the
drllng. Apply Flue Goo between the Damper and the Frebox
Top and bolt the Damper to the Frebox Top usng the
provded ¼” dameter by ½” long lag bolts.

NOTE: If you do not have enough Flue Goo to seal the seams, you
can use cement mortar instead.
