Shots Screen
This screen allows the user to edit shot definitions. The
contents of this screen change based on the Dispense
and Control Mode selections. Shots may be defined by
pressure or flow rate depending upon the Control Mode
selection and by time (duration), volume, or weight
depending upon the Dispense Mode selection. See
System Screen #1 for Control and Dispense Mode
on page 78 for
information on how to use predefined shots.
NOTE:
100 shot definition are available across ten
pages.
To edit a shot definition:
1. Press the Enter screen button
then use the
arrow keys to navigate to the desired value.
2. Type the new value then press the Enter button
to accept the new value.
3. If desired, press to quickly enter the same value
for the rate and time/volume/weight.
4. Repeat step 2 as required.
Due to variation in material properties, the ∆ column
gives the ability to adjust the shot time/volume/weight
for each defined shot.
NOTE:
If the ∆ column is used, it is recommended that
a minimum of 5 shots are dispensed, measured and
averaged for each dispense before entering a value for
the ∆ column.
Time Based Example:
A 75 cc/s shot is defined to dispense for 2 seconds.
1. Dispense 5 shots into 5 separate containers.
2. Measure the dispensed amount and record the
data.
3. Calculate the average of the 5 shots.
