Installing the E5CK Temperature
Controller
To install the E5CK controller, which replaces the
E5CS controller, perform the following procedure:
The E5CK temperature controller is part of Tempera-
ture Controller Kit, P/N 918579.
NOTE: Before inserting the replacement E5CK con-
troller into the panel, make sure the gasket is
in place.
1. Insert the E5CK controller into the mounting hole
on the control panel (Fig. 37). Make sure the con-
troller is firmly fixed in place.

2. At the back of the control panel, install the adapter
on the E5CK controller (Fig. 37).
3. Tighten the two mounting screws on adapter. To
avoid damaging the E5CK controller, tighten the
screws alternately. Do not over tighten the
screws.
4. Connect the wires to the E5CK controller termi-
nals (Fig. 38). Do not over tighten the screws.
If replacing a E5CS controller, use the terminal
conversion chart listed below to make the correct
wiring connections.

5. If applicable, use the snap pin to install terminal
cover on the E5CK controller (Fig. 39).

6. After replacing the E5CK controller, you must com-
plete the series of procedures that are listed under
Setting Temperature Controllers on page 17 to
program the controller settings.
