Maintenance
The GPS1195 barrier gate will provide many years of reliable service if the following maintenance is
performed.
Monthly Maintenance

Check the drive belt tension regularly. Belt should be tight to provide for smooth gate arm
travel

Check belt for improper wear or cracks

Adjust limit cams as required, some small adjustments may be required during wide
temperature variations

Check the gear reducer oil level, if the oil is below the red dot then top up to the red dot

Check the gear reducer for leaks around the seals
Annual Maintenance

Drain and refill the gear reducer oil on an annual basis with 75W90 Synthetic Gear oil

Check and tighten as required all nuts and bolts

Check to insure the cabinet is securely mounted to the island

Check that all wiring, terminals, connectors, Etc., are secure and are electrically and
mechanically sound. Repair any deficiencies immediately

Wash and wax exterior surfaces
Belt tension adjustment

Work should be performed by a qualified service technician

Turn the power disconnect switch to the off position located on the lower right side of the
barrier gate

Remove the belt

Loosen and remove motor mounting clips

Remove motor from mounting bracket

Loosen motor mounting bracket nuts

Adjust height of mounting bracket to loosen or tighten belt tension

Tighten motor mounting bracket nuts

Install motor to mounting bracket, secure with mounting clips and tighten

Install the belt

Check for proper tension
