5.2.2 CAN1/CAN2
CAN1: 5 pin M 12 female connector (A coded)
CAN2: 5 pin M 12 male connector (A coded)
If the magnetic sensor is connected at the end of the CAN bus:
Mount a CAN terminator.
These terminators can be obtained from various manufacturers and are available in
versions for many sockets and connectors. A terminator for the CAN1 socket is also
offered by Götting (see section 3.2.3 on page 14.
5.3 Turning off from the Main Track
If the vehicle is to turnoff to a second track the second track has to be started as
shown in Figure 14. Suitable magnetic tape for turnoffs is listed in Table 2 on page
11. In addition to the main track there may only ever be one branch track in the read
-
ing area of the sensor. Crossroads thus have to be realized with the left turnoff and
the right turnoff having an offset.

NOTICE
Damage to CAN bus devices
If too high voltage is applied to pin 4 or 5, other devices connected to the CAN
bus may be damaged.
Never connect a voltage > 5 V to pin 4 or 5.
