INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
This Installation, Operation, and Maintenance
manual is designed to help you achieve the best
performance and longest life from your Gorman-
Rupp pump.
This pump is an S-Series submersible model, de-
signed to handle dirty water that does not contain
large entrained solids. Do not attempt to pump vol-
atile, flammable or corrosive liquids that may dam-
age the pump. The basic materials of construction
are cast iron and stainless steel, with a cast iron im-
peller.
The pump may be operated fully or partially sub-
merged, but should not be operated dry for ex-
tended periods. The pump is not explosion-proof,
and should not be operated in a hazardous atmo-
sphere.
