UNIT FEATURES
The XB-16 operates on a power supply of
230V 50Hz AC
The XB-16 contains the following facilities:
* Built in 14” Colour TV
* 2 band radio (MW and FM)
* Digital audio CD and Graphic player
* A twin cassette player with high speed
dubbing, one touch record and sequential
playback capability
* 2 microphone input sockets (1 mic is
supplied)
* PA (Public Address) facility
* Talk or sing along to music (demo disc
supplied)
* Separate variable microphone volume
and system volume controls
* Microphone ECHO control, mic mixing
facility, DBBS and switchable auto vocal
cut control
* Remote control for CD/CDG/TV operation.
* AUX IN - AUX OUT connections
INSTALLATION
Carefully remove the unit from its packaging
and place it on a firm flat surface.
Locate the unit in the room where direct light
does not strike the screen.
Total darkness or a reflection on the picture
screen can cause eyestrain. Soft and indirect
lighting is recommended for comfortable
viewing.
Allow enough space between the unit and the
wall to permit ventilation.
Avoid excessively warm locations to prevent
possible damage to the cabinet or premature
component failure.
Do not install the unit in a location near heat
sources such as radiator, air ducts, direct
sunlight, or in a place somewhere like close
compartment and close area.
Do not cover the ventilation openings when
using the set.
Insert the mains plug into a 230 Volt 50 Hz
AC mains supply socket.
NOTE:
Save the carton and packing material,
they will be useful if you ever have to transport
the unit.
CAUTION
MASTER VOLUME CONTROL KNOB
The Master volume control knob on the
main control panel is an electronic type.
To increase or decrease the master
volume level, gently twist this control knob
right or left. This control knob will not rotate
DO NOT TRY TO ROTATE IT !
INTRODUCTION - MODE/FUNCTION SELECTION
1. Press the POWER Switch (at the left side of cabinet) once to switch the unit to its standby
mode. It will then be necessary to press the standby button on the front panel to turn the
unit ON.
2. To select a function, press the function selector button MODE on the main unit front
panel or the MODE or AV button on the remote control.
3. Each time the MODE or AV button is pressed the function selection will cycle as follows:
TV AV1 AV2 CDG CD TUNER TAPE
4. The respective indicator will illuminate as the function is selected. But for CDG, both AV1
and AV2 indicators will illuminate.
