Updating firmware 5 Customer support
Executing the firmware update
1. Connect the product to the computer via
USB.
2. Download the latest firmware file and
unzip the file. (You can download the latest
firmware file from the product homepage.)
3. Copy the file from the unzipped folder to
the installation folder of the program.
4. Execute the firmware update program.
5. Check whether to format the saved data.
6. Start the firmware program.
Installing USB drive
When you install the Firmware Update program the USB driver will auto -
matically be installed.
Windows 98SE users must first install the USB driver before
connecting the MP3 player.
If you disconnect the USB connection while updating the fir -
mware, it can affect the file system
of the set. Maintain the USB connection when updating the firmware.
