8. Move the
Pump Oil Return Valve Handle
on the unit being filtered to the
VAT FILL
position.
9. After the Fry Vat has completely drained, place
the
Pump Switch
, located on the FFLT
Control Panel, in the
ON
position.

IMPORTANT!
If the Fry Vat does not readily drain, use the supplied
Drain Brush or Clean-out Tool to break up crumbs or
cooking residue which may be blocking the Fry Vat Drain.
7. Confirm that the
Heat Switch
for the unit being filtered is in the
OFF
position. On the FFLT lower panel, ensure the
Oil Diverter Valve
is in the
TO FRYPOT
position. Unlock and slowly pull the
Drain
Valve Handle
out to the
OPEN
position, allowing the cooking oil to
drain into the Filter Pan.

Never drain oil from more than one (1) cook vat at a time into the Filter Pan! The Filter Pan only has capacity
to contain the oil from one (1) vat.
•
Never disconnect and attempt to remove the Filter Pan from unit while it contains liquid shortening.
!
WARNING
During the next step, hot shortening is drained from the cook vat, exposing the Heating Elements. The Fryers
feature interlocks and safety shutdown devices, however TO FURTHER MINIMIZE THE POTENTIAL OF FIRE,
ALWAYS CONFIRM THAT THE HEAT SWITCH IS IN THE “OFF” POSITION BEFORE DRAINING THE COOK VAT.
