Heating Element Check

DO NOT touch the Heating Elements ... they quickly become very hot. Skin contact with an energized element will
result in severe burns.
!
DANGER
1. Follow the steps in
Section 4-01
.
2. Ensure Power Switch is in the
OFF
position.
3. Liberally dampen a sponge with water and moisten the Heating
Elements
.
4a.
For the EOF-24:
●
Set the Power Switch to the
ON
position.
●
Wait until the Controller display
reads
HOLD,
then press
the Set Temp
button, the display should read
350
. If not,
set the temperature to
350
, see
Section 5-01.2. Programming
the Cooking Temperature
.
●
Set the Heat Switch
to the
HEAT
position. Leave in the
HEAT
position
NO MORE THAN 10 to 15 SECONDS.
●
Set the Heat Switch
to the
OFF
position
4b.
For the EOF-BIB:
●
Set the Power Switch to the
ON
position.
●
If the amber
HEAT
light does not turn
ON
, press and hold the
UP
arrow button
on the digital Thermostat
until it
does.
●
After the
HEAT
light turns
ON,
leave the Power Switch
set
to
ON
for
NO MORE THAN 10 to 15 SECONDS
then return it to
OFF
.
5. The wet element should quickly dry in approximately 15 seconds
and heat should be apparent rising from vat. Proceed to
Section
4-04
.
If the Heating Element does not dry within 15-30 seconds and
no heat is apparent, refer to the Troubleshooting procedure in
Section 7-01
.
