Setting walkie-talkie mode
Walkie-talkie mode allows two handsets to communicate regardless of how far away
from the base station they are.
Example:
You go on holiday and take two handsets with walkie-talkie functionality with
you. Set the walkie-talkie function
on both handsets
. You can now communicate using
the handsets.
Requirement:

Both handsets have been registered on the same base station
or
◆
The two handsets are registered on different base stations and are both set to
Best Base
or
◆
One of the handsets is not registered to any base station and the registered handset
is set to
Best Base
or
◆
Neither handset is registered to a base station.
Activating/deactivating walkie-talkie mode
Walkie-talkie mode is activated.
Deactivating walkie-talkie mode
If you press the talk key

or the handsfree key

while in walkie-talkie mode,
the call will go to all the handsets that are in walkie-talkie mode. The connection is
made with the first handset to answer the walkie-talkie call.

In walkie-talkie mode

The maximum range between handsets is 300 metres outdoors,

The handsets cannot be reached by incoming calls.
◆
Handset operating times are severely curtailed.
