Socket Fusion
For socket fusion with heating element, the pipes and pipe parts are fused
overlapping without the use of additional materials. The pipe ends and fitting
sockets are heated on bushes and spigots to the required fusion temperature
and then joined together.
The dimensions of the pipe ends, heating element and fitting sockets are
coordinated in such a way that a fusion pressure is built up during jointing and
an even joint is created.
In general, only uniform materials must be fused. In order to obtain optimal
fusion results, only corresponding parts must be joined together.
8.2.1
Preparing for socket fusion
Clamp in pipe, approx. 10-12 cm protruding over the clamping jaws.
Before starting up the peeling unit, feed 10-15 mm of the pipe into the peeling
tool. The peeling tool will not be ejected, if the rotation direction of the planer
motor is not correct adjusted.
Start the motor and move the pipe against the planer!
