•
Do not use the cuff on damaged skin.
•
Do not use the device if you are allergic to polyester or synthetic fabrics.
•
Do not connect the air tube to any other medical equipment, as this can lead to high pressure or
conduct air into intravascular systems, which may lead to injury.
• When the cuff pressure reaches 40 kPa (300 mmHg), the air will be automatically released. In the
rare event of a fault causing the cuff to remain fully inflated during measurement, open the cuff im
-
mediately and press the ‚START/STOP‘ button to end the measurement. Prolonged high pressure
applied to the arm may result in ecchymosis. (Cuff pressure >299 mmHg or a constant pressure of
>15 mmHg for longer than three minutes).
• This blood pressure monitor is not an AP/APG device and is not suitable for use in the presence of
inflammable anaesthetic gases with air containing oxygen or nitrous oxide.
•
Do not wrap the cuff around an arm in which an arteriovenous shunt has been implanted or to
which other medical devices are attached, as this could lead to temporary functional failure of the
medical devices being used.
•
This device is not suitable for continuous monitoring during medical emergencies and surgery. This
device cannot be used simultaneously with HR surgical devices.
•
This device is not intended for patient transportation outside of a healthcare facility.
• Please ensure that the operation of the device does not permanently impair the patient‘s blood flow.
•
If you need to test the measuring accuracy of the Geratherm
®
active , please contact the
manufacturer or your retailer.
•
