8. Errors and causes overview for connecting the control unit to a Zigbee Hub
(smart home)
Error
Possible cause
Remedy
The Zigbee device is not
recogniced.
Power supply interruppted
Make sure that the power supply is
guaranteed. The lighting should shine.
No connection to the W-LAN
Check the WLAN connection from your
smartphone or tablet.
No Zigbee hub available
A Zigbee hub is required to control the
Zigbee lights. This can eighter already
be integrated in your smart home
system or an external Zigbee Hub (e.g.
Philips Hue Bridge) must be installed.
Zigbee hub is not connected to the
home network.
Make sure you are connected to the
home network. This should also be
displayed in the app used.
Software out of date
Check whether new updates for your
smart home system, the Zigbee hub or
the app`s used are available and install
them.
Smart home system is not compatible Check whether the smart home system
Zigbee is compatible.
Additional hardware or software may
need to install them.
Control unit is already connected to a
remote control
Reset the device to the factory settings
(see point 7.1)
You can then connect it to the remote
control again.
