Hydraulic Pumps
5 Carefully pull the drive pump out until the pump
coupler separates from the flex plate.
6 Remove the drive pump from the machine.
NOTICE
Component damage hazard.
The pump(s) may become
unbalanced and fall if not
properly supported.
NOTICE
Component damage hazard.
When installing the pump, do not
force the pump coupler into the
flexplate or damage to the pump
shaft seal may occur.
NOTICE
Component damage hazard. Be
sure to open the two hydraulic
tank valves and prime the pump
after installing the pump.
How to Prime the Pump
1 Connect a 0 to 600 psi / 0 to 41 bar pressure
gauge to the test port on the drive pump.
2 Remove the safety pin from the engine pivot
plate latch.
Note: The engine pivot plate latch is located
under the engine turntable pivot plate at the
counterweight end of the machine.
3 Open the engine pivot plate latch and swing
the engine pivot plate out and away from the
machine.
4 Hold the manual fuel shutoff valve clockwise to
the closed position.

5 Have another person crank the engine with the
starter motor for 15 seconds, wait 15 seconds,
then crank the engine an additional 15 seconds
or until the pressure reaches 320 psi / 22 bar.
6 Release the manual fuel shutoff valve.
7 Start the engine from the ground controls and
check for hydraulic leaks.
