How to Disassemble the Mast
Bodily injury hazard. This
procedure requires specific repair
skills, lifting equipment and a
suitable workshop. Attempting this
procedure without these skills and
tools could result in death or
serious injury and significant
component damage. Dealer
service is strongly recommended.
1 Remove the mast. See 3-1, How to Remove the
Mast Assembly.
2 Rotate the mast until the carriage is facing up.
3 Remove the socket head retaining fastener
from the clevis block on the lift cylinder rod end
at the top of the number 1 column.
4 Remove the lift cylinder barrel end mounting
fasteners.

5 Loosen the lift cylinder mounting bracket
fasteners.
6 Support the cylinder and carefully slide it out of
the mast assembly.
Crushing hazard. The lift cylinder
could become unbalanced and fall
if not properly supported when
removed from the machine.
