Vacuum chamber water reservoir
Final checks
Using distilled water, refer to:
Specifications
, fill the vacuum chamber
water reservoir using 400 ml of distilled
water.
Waste solvent full detect
An electrical connector (Genevac part
number 04-8080) can be ordered to enable
the connection of a waste solvent full
detector. The detection system should
include of a switch that is electrically closed
when the waste solvent container is not full,
and open when the container is full.
To enable waste solvent full detection, go to
the
Maintenance
menu and select
Waste
Full Detect

Connector for waste solvent full detector
As waste solvent can be handled in various
ways, no waste solvent full detection system
is supplied with Rocket 4D.
Carry out a safety assessment before
operating the evaporator. Make sure the
exhaust hose takes solvent vapours away
from personnel, and from the instrument,
safely.
Connecting power
Connect mains power to the evaporator
and chiller using the power cables
supplied. Switch on the power.
Commissioning
instructions appear on
the screen when the evaporator is
switched on for the first time.
Press the
select control
to confirm that each step of
the commissioning instruction has been
completed. The
Commissioning
screen
offers the option to disable this feature
upon completion or allow it to reappear at
subsequent power ups.
Refer to the Julabo chiller user manual and
set the chiller to remote control mode.
