Inspection and servicing

Only work on plant that has
cooled down.
CAUTION
Servicing and maintenance work
must only be performed by trained
personnel.
GEMÜ shall assume no liability
whatsoever for damages caused
by improper handling or third-party
actions.
In case of doubt, contact GEMÜ before
commissioning.
Use appropriate protective gear as
specified in plant operator's guidelines.
Shut off plant or plant component.
Secure against recommissioning.
Depressurize the plant or plant
component.
The operator must carry out regular visual
examination of the actuators dependent on
the operating conditions and the potential
danger in order to prevent leakage and
damage.
14.1 General information regarding
actuator replacement
The following tools are required
for replacing the actuator:
Open-end wrench
Ring wrench
Position of the shut-off valve:
SZ
Read the position of the shut-off valve
on the groove
SZ
and compare it with
the optical position indicator, then rotate
the actuator into the correct position if
necessary.
Groove

transverse to piping direction:
Actuator closed.
Groove

in piping direction:
Actuator open.
14.2 Replacing the actuator
Depressurize the control medium.
Unscrew the control medium line(s) on
the actuator.
