Note
If multiple sonars are in use and the scan sector adjustment handles are
overlapped by another image, the handle underneath can be accessed by
holding down the control key (
ctrl
) on the keyboard while selecting
the handles. If the control key is not held when the mouse is clicked the
measurement function will be activated instead.
12.3.18. Measurements
When the mouse pointer is within the cone on the sonar display (that is over the
displayed sonar image), measurements can be taken from the display. A single click
on the cone will show the position of the click.
Clicking at one point on the cone and holding the left mouse button down whilst
moving the mouse will give a measurement between the two points.
When any measurement has been taken, clicking outside the cone will turn the
measurement off.
12.4. Advanced Controls on Advanced Screen
The
Configuration Options
pane is on the far right of the display area and
provides advanced control of the sonar display as well as the data which is to be
output to the 3rd party survey software.
12.4.1. Choose and Position the Equipment
Equipment positions should be given realtive to the vessel CRP which is typically
chosen to be at the vessel Centre of Gravity (COG). This equipment setup will also
need to be entered into the hydrographic survey software package.
